We had a great time at the British Waterways Museum on Thursday 16/02/2012. the event was very well attended - we even had a French school trip arrive - they really got involved. We followed this up with a school visit for year twos at Kingsholm Primary school. If you need us for an event or for a school talk, just give us a call. Events and schools a re generally free of charge and there is only a small charge for playgroups and parties.

Microchipping

We now offer a microchipping service in store. We can microchip any animal (dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises etc.) except horses for ONLY £15. This includes registration on the Petlog database. This enables authorities to trace owners of lost or stolen animals with a simple scan of the chip, speeding the return to your home. We use the latest mini microchip. This is the smallest chip on the market (8mm long, compared to the normal 12mm) and is smaller than a grain of rice. The process is simple and takes seconds. Protect your pet and gain peace of mind without the need for an expensive visit to the vets.

Got a puppy or kitten - vets may offer you a microchipping service during your new friend's final inocculations. The cost to you will still be more, even though you are paying for other services at the same time and most still use the larger 12mm chips that are often detectable to touch. You can decline this service and use our superior product for less money !

Discounts are also available for multiple animals, so you can save even more money if you have a litter of pups or kittens to chip before selling

Loyalty Scheme

We have now launched our loyalty card scheme. Spend more than £10 in a single transaction and get one loyalty point. Spend more than £40 and get 2. Fill your loyalty card (8 points) and receive a £5 gift voucher to spend in store. Our monthly loyalty scheme offers will be found on this page. Ask in store for details

Angell Pets gift vouchers are now available in store in £5, £10 and £20 denominations. They can be redeemed against any item we stock so make an ideal alternative if you can't decide what would make the best gift for your friends or family. If you can't make it into the shop you can pay by telephone and we can send them out to you.

NEW RANGES

We now have new ranges of small mammal cages and equipment, bird cages, birds, reptile decor and equipment. More variety, lower prices.

Our range of tropical and cold water fish grows every week so come in and see what's new, or have a look on our aquatics page.

Livefood and bulk orders

We stock livefood and frozen food for exotic pets. Bulk orders attract large discounts when ordered in advance. Regular deliveries are now on Thursdays but we add food and moisture to our boxes on receipt so they stay fresher longer. Please pre order to avoid disappointment as our livefoods are very popular and do not hang around for long.

Horse Feed

We can order a large range of horse feeds and supplements including Baileys, Badmington, D&H, Dengie, Mollichaff, Saracen, Spillers and many more. We can also order any items we don't currently stock. Just tell us what you need and we will get it. All at extremely competetive prices

Chickens

Our Johnsons range of supplements and treatments is well established now and we have recently added two new ranges Please do call and check stock for chicken feed as we are now very popular with local poultry keepers who seem to like our prices. We do take pre orders to avoid disappointment

Sunday and bank holiday opening

We are open seven days a week and every bank holiday except Christmas day and boxing day and new years day.

Offers

We continue to expand our range of package deal offers available, helping to keep down the cost of pet ownership. Discounts are available to anyone buying complete set ups from us. We also offer a buy back scheme enabling you to upgrade tanks/vivariums as your animal grows. For example we currently have a sub adult bearded dragon in a 3'x2'x2' beech vivarium for £310 including all heating and lighting, substrate and decor.

At Angell Pets we believe that responsible pet ownership is something that everyone should be taught at school and at home. However schools have only limited resources. That’s where we come in. We offer a FREE service to our local schools.

If you want your child to benefit from this service, or if you are a teacher or teaching assistant in a local school and you would like to take advantage of this FREE community service please contact us to arrange an appointment at your school.

Why do we provide this service at no cost? We firmly believe that the best way to improve on responsible pet ownership and general animal care is through education and we see this as just an extension of the service we offer to all our customers and as a way of giving something back to our community.
