Bosc Monitor (Varanus exanthematicus)
We DO NOT courier any animal.
Boscs are a medium sized monitor lizard from central and southern Africa. Also known as a savannah monitor they inhabit mainly arid grasslands, although they have quite a wide range. As a medium sized monotor (between 3 and 5 feet as adults) they do need a large enclosure (6 feet plus). They are prone to obesity if fed incorrectly and not given cause to excercise, so feed more insects than rodents to force them to move about. Getting them out for a run around or a swim in the bath obviously helps. A high temperature at the hot end, 35 celcius with a basking hot spot at around 40-45 celcius and around 26 at the cold end. UV lighting is required to ensure continued good health, these are diurnal lizards from the plains of Africa and experience high levels of UV in the wild.
